AIGANY

Programming & Branding Taskforce

Served on the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) New York Chapter from 2022-2024, serving as the Programming Lead & Branding Taskforce for the volunteer-led, non-profit organization.

As a part of programming, I worked closely with the Executive Director of AIGANY to produce over 34+ events over my 2-year board tenure.

In that time, we transitioned from virtual programming to hybrid, bringing folks back into auditoriums by 2024 and serving as a programming lead and moderator, engaging questions on auditoriums from the Museum of Art & Design, Parsons, the New School, and via Zoom.

Our programming focused on topical conversations, community-led initiatives, and professional workshops supporting visual designers and the creative industry in NYC.

AIGA NATIONAL CONFERENCE iN NEW YORK:
A VIEW FROM HERE - Brand Identity

AIGA NY was tasked with creating the brand identity for the 2023 AIGA National Design Conference theme, “View From Here” hosted in NYC for the professional design organization’s first in-person conference since 2020.

Inspired by the connectivity of NYC with AIGA, the brand identity pays homage to iconic design elements of NY transit, i.e. the street grid, street signage, and the Vignelli subway map.

The branding was inspired by the connectivity of NYC and AIGA’s original home, paying homage to iconic design elements of NY transit, including the street grid, street signage, and, of course, the Vignelli subway map.

I worked with the AIGANY team to provide art direction support to pitch our ideas to the national chapter for the conference held in October.
